Another one from the LARP archives – 2022 in this case!

Back in the days when my friend Mila was playing a Pict at Dumnonni Chronicles LARP, she did a fantastic drawing of a character embracing an owl (go see some of her work, and support her at ko-fi.com/milagrimm ).

I wrote these words to go along with it.

Cailleach

Roaming through the woods by night,

I heard the Cailleach calling.

Argent wheel shining clear and bright,

Silver moonbeams falling.

A bride of death, a pale white face,

A glowing bird all mortals fear.

I clasped them both in close embrace,

Shafts of feathers, shaft of spear.
