Running.

I thought it might be nice to write something for my friend Valentine in honour of her sponsored charity run for Penny Brohn UK (there’s still time to support her over at https://www.justgiving.com/page/vs-running-challenge-for-cancer-support) , which she is probably completing as I write this post…! Since we’ve spent some time together as Saxons while LARPing, I stuck with my favourite antiquarian style for this short poem.

Far-travelled, fleet-footed, fortune-strider,
Map-moving, moss-spurning milestone-rider.
Earth-pacer, league-embracer, horizon’s distant curve path-finder,
Wind-racer, weariness-chaser, wyrd’s wild and wayward way unwinder.
